BBC'S RUSSIAN FILM MONTH SPOT

THE MONKEY REPORT - ON TOP OF A MOUNTAIN:
I love teddy bears as much as the next guy, but you wouldn't want to give this bear a hug. Standing nine and a half feet tall this Kodiak Grizzly weighs more than 1600 pounds! He made his way up to Hemlock Mountain just outside of Vancouver, British Columbia to star in this commercial for BBC's More4 Russian Film Month. The premise of the commercial is quite simple. The bear represents the Russian Empire and the wolf and the bear traps are the forces that brought the once great nation down. It is the downfall of the Russain Empire... in 60 seconds.
Let me tell you that working in snow is no easy task. Everything is more difficult, plus on this job there was the added danger of being eaten by a massive bear. A one point I heard someone shout at me, "Don't pay attention to him!" With that he was referring to a wolf who was sniffing me as I was cleaning a lens. He then started to lick my face before moving on to pee in an untouched expanse of white snow. Pretty cool. Check out some photos from the shoot here.
