NEW YEAR'S ADVICE:
SHOOTING IT UP AT THE HOLIDAYS

Shooting it up for the holidays!
Ever want to shoot an AK47 into the air for New Year's? Well we at UNP hate to disappoint you, but it is not a good idea. In fact, "celebratory firing" in many places is actually illegal. You find that hard to believe? Check out what The Los Angeles Police Department has to say about it. Why would anyone want to stop you from shooting your firearm into the air to celebrate??? Quite simply, it is dangerous. What goes up must come down and when it does it can travel over 200 feet per second, which is fast enough to do some serious damage to your head, neck, shoulders or your fat ass. Don't be stupid. Use you gun to rob a liquor store, not shoot into the air to celebrate a holiday.

DELIVERING FATHER CHRISTMAS'
SINCE 1793

Rare Exprts - Hunting Father Christmas'
"Rare Exports Inc. delivering Father Christmas' since 1793. Through extensive training of manners and language skills the product is prepared to meet the needs of millions of children."

Directed by Jalmari Helander, Rare Exports Inc. was originally intended as the end-of-the season gift for the clients of Woodpecker Film, a Helsinki based production company for TV commercials & music videos. Placed on the company website, the film gathered nearly half a million unique viewers in just a few months. The film went on to play at numerous film festivals and win a number of awards. Kudos to the filmmakers from us at UNP. We'll take two please!

BEEFIN' UP THE HOLIDAYS

BEEFIN' UP THE HOLIDAYS with BETTY FULLER
Apologies, but the United Nathan Productions holiday greeting this year is a rehash of a project that we produced for Industrial Brand Creative last year. No complaining... it is pretty funny, albeit a little wacky.

There is the main page from which you can launch the spoof commercial or you can also view the extended episode. Both are a bizarre take on the food obsessed holiday season. Warning: vegetarians may not enjoy this!

ANGEL-A PREMIERES IN FRANCE

ANGEL-A
Opening in Paris on December 21, 2005 after a media black-out, ANGEL-A has proven that Luc Besson has still got it.

[via aintitcool.com] The movie is beautiful in every aspect. Short, well paced and efficient. The musical atmosphere fits the scenes perfectly. Technically flawless. The story is the one the trailer gave us a glimpse of. Andre (Jamel Debbouze) is a con-man, who owes money to too many people. He's considering suicide, and suddenly meets Angela (Rie Rasmussen), who is in the same state. He thinks he's ugly on the outside, she thinks she's ugly on the inside. Each tries to convince the other that he shouldn't die. Eventually, it's the sweetest story I can think of... and it's not as cheesy as it sounds.

For a more detailed review, check out Variety. Also of note are the two dark and dramatic posters... poster 1 and poster 2.

STATLER & WALDORF from the BALCONY

Statler & Waldorf From The Balcony
We could never remembered the names of the two grumpy old men making obscure and clever, albeit sometimes mean comments from The Muppet Show balcony until now. Movies.com has reinstated Statler & Waldorf and given them their own show reviewing Hollywood movies. It really is quite clever and full of wit and off-beat humor. These muppets aren't just for kids - they are sharp! New episodes are added all the time, but they are not scheduled so they just pop up. Be sure to watch for Pepe the King Prawn doing hilarious red carpet interviews as well as other Muppets making special guest appearances.
